Mountain Guiding Work

Each summer season we require one or 2 additional guides to cover work though the busiest period of the New Zealand summer guiding season (typically mid-November to mid-February.

New Zealand is part of the IFMGA. Guides need to be fully or part qualified through the IFMNA/NZMGA, and a current financial member of a guides association.

If you are interested in working with us next year (Nov 2016 to Feb/Mar 2017). Please get in contact and send though your CV.

For non-NZ /Australian residents a work visa is required. This can take several months to process, and is not guaranteed, so we recommend starting this process by August.

For overseas guides we will provide a briefing paper about working conditions and guiding in Mount Cook.
