A basic barrel-like structure, Gardiner Hut sits on a huge rock outcrop known as 'Pudding Rock". Mainly used by us as a half-way point en route to Empress Hut. Gardiner is a venue for climbs like Nazomi and some of the southern routes on the Aoraki/Mount Cook massif. View location in Google Maps.
