Our guides

During the summer months we employ up to 20 guides. This drops to a team of around 12 during our winter skiing and heliskiing season.

All of our mountain and ski guides are professionals, trained and certified through the New Zealand Mountain Guides Association training program and/or the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA).

Most of our team are Kiwi's, but we have a number of regular guides from the UK/Europe, Japan, and the occasional visitor from Canada.

You're in safe hands

New Zealand is one of 15 countries affiliated to the IFMGA - the only international body regulating professional mountain guiding.

A career in guiding is a major committment. Full certification takes an average 10 years of experience and 5 years of working through a range of assessment courses.

Our combination of professionalism, decades of collective experience and state of the art alpine techniques (along with some good Kiwi humour) will ensure you are in good hands.
