Jane Morris : Assistant Climbing Guide
Nationality: NZ
First worked with Alpine Guides: 2010

Jane began shuffling around the NZ mountains when her parents thought tramping was a great idea for a family holiday. These days she is the one who drags them on "family adventures".

Meeting like-minded folk at the University at Otago provided the platform for more serious alpine mischief. Jane then then spent 5 years as a nomad, traveling and working in various mountainous corners of the globe. She is now happily convinced that, "we have paradise right here on our doorstep".

Jane spent several summers living and working in the Aoraki/Mount Cook area as part of the DOC Alpine Search and Rescue team. Through this time she trained and transitioned into working as a guide.

When not trawling around the mountains or at some wild fancy dress party, Jane enjoys the simple pleasures of friends and family, and the occasional glass of Central Otago Pinot Noir.
