Paula's first gainful employment with Alpine Guides was as our 'gopher' back in 2001 - just before starting official training as a guide with the NZMGA.

Since then she's had a number of busy summers clocking up her guiding accomplishments. Her outgoing attitude, energy, and huge laugh make her a popular guide.

These days she works full time for Tai Poutini Polytechnic, based in Greymouth, but still guides for us during her summer "vacation". She also puts in the hard yards in winter guiding with Methven Heliskiing.

Paula has worked a number of seasons as a ski patroller at Ohau ski area, close to her home base in Twizel.

She's a fan of skiing spring corn and hanging out at the local rock crag on sunny days...
