Ascents Program | Summer Mountaineering
The Ascents Program is a guided summer mountaineering package for the individual climber. Set your sights high, and Alpine Guides can arrange a great climbing trip for you, at Mount Cook or beyond.
Guiding for Experienced Mountaineers
The Ascents Program suits experienced mountaineers. The 1:1 ratio allows attempts on serious routes and challenging peaks. If you don't know the region we will recommend venues suitable for your experience level.
Tailored - to suit your experience
The Ascents Program is your trip. The package can be for specific peaks and locations. Or book in for a week of climbing and use your guide's local knowledge to take advantage of the best climbing at the time.
The Ascents Program detailed info suggests possible objectives - and the required duration. Including: The Minarets, Mount Sefton, Mount Elie de Beaumont ›
- High level of aerobic fitness
- Previous high alpine climbing experience on moderate/technical terrain
For beginner mountaineers we recommend a scheduled instruction course ›
"Mix it up" with technical climbing instruction
The Ascents Program can mix mountaineering instruction with climbing, if required. The Ascents Program is a great way to refresh your technique after early spousal "forced retirement".
