Objective: 3000
Objective: 3000 is Alpine Guides' course for climbing a significant 3,000 metre peak. With your guide's close tuition and expert local knowledge, you can achieve your 3,000 metre ambition.
A focused course with one significant goal
The Objective:3000 framework is a 7 or 8 day package - depending on the objective peak. The package suits individuals or small teams.
Because the goal is climbing one significant peak you may not cover the range of mountaineering skills that a broad-based course (like the TMC) offers.
Objective: 3000 suits climbers that:
- Are not necessarily planning further mountaineering
- Need to refresh skills - plus get the bonus of bagging a major peak
The 7 or 8 day package gives time to:
- Access and egress your venue on foot, or by air
- Train and make a summit attempt
- Work around changing weather and snow conditions
Experience required:
- High level of fitness
- Basic rope skills (e.g. rock climbing, caving, abseiling)
- Trekking/tramping experience
Objective: 3000 Peaks include
- Mount Aspiring: 3,027 metres - 8 days
