"TMC Tune-up"
Making the Grade for your TMC
The last thing that you (or anyone else on your course) wants is someone that won't make the grade with their technical rope skills. The TMC Tune-up is a short optional clinic, which offers a refresher for those who need to up-skill their rope handling/rock climbing ability.
Who should take the TMC Tune-up?
If your rope skills are rusty - or if you meet (or exceed) the other TMC prerequisites, but don't have any roped climbing experience, you need to do this preliminary course.
The Tune-up runs for just 1.5 days prior to each TMC. Based at Mount Cook Village, we'll go through all the basics of rope handling and rock climbing.
Climbing will be done at Sebastopol Bluffs (our local multi-pitch crag), or at the Twizel Climbing wall if the weather isn't so good. Transport is provided whenever required.
