New Zealand's Aoraki/Mount Cook region offers some of the best high-alpine ski touring in the world. The Alpine Ski Touring package is for small "private" groups of backcountry skiing enthusiasts.
Private Ski Tours for Small Groups
You choose the dates to suit your travel plans (subject to guide availability) and we will do the rest. The maximum guide to participant ratio is one to 5. Alpine Guides will tailor the tour to suit your experience and ambitions.
Air Access to High Mountain Terrain
Access to the mountains is by aircraft (ski plane or helicopter). You will be based at one or more high mountain hut. Every fine day we explore the glacial nevés of the Mount Cook and Westland wilderness region, and make turns through incredible untracked terrain.
Experience Required:
- Good level of aerobic fitness
- Strong-intermediate skiing ability
- Mountaineering experience not required
