FAQ - accomodation

Alpine Guides provides all accommodations during your mountain trip. For any nights you do not spend in the mountains we use a variety of lodges.

In the Mount Cook area, we normally use Unwin Lodge. Unwin is operated by the NZ Alpine Club and is a focal point for alpinists coming into the Mt Cook area. Bedrooms are shared bunk style. The lodge has a spacious lounge with a log fire, and excellent kitchen facilities. Please bring your own sleeping bag, towel, and toiletries (we can rent sleeping bags).

Outside your trip dates, you need to find your own accommodation. Below is a list of options.

Post-COVID accommodation options have decreased. As these come back, we will list them.
